Attention Students and Members,
The Chicago Local Section would like you to participate in the AIHA Chicago Local Section Student Night. Student Night will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 5:00pm (Poster Set-up and submission of electronic presentations begins at 4:30pm) at the Crowne Plaza Chicago SW - Burr Ridge, 300 S. Frontage Road, Burr Ridge, IL 60527.
This is an event which enables students to make valuable network with professionals in the field. The Chicago Local Section encourages undergraduate students to use research they have completed to create a research poster to bring to Student Night. This would be a poster like what one would present at AIHce. The posters will be reviewed and judged by the attendees and monetary prizes will be given to the winners. Undergraduates will attend to their posters to discuss issues and answer questions posed by attendees.
Graduate students may also participate with podium presentations. They are asked to compile a brief PowerPoint presentation (or equivalent) and individually present their work to the student night attendees. Presentations should be approximately seven minutes long with three minutes allotted for question and answers (7-10 slides). Graduate students will not be required to develop a physical poster for the event.
The presentations can be hand delivered on an external storage drive at the event and/ or emailed prior to the event to cperez@anl.gov
Depending on participation, a panel will be utilized to select the top undergraduate posters and graduate presentations. Students and event participants will then cast the final e-vote for the first and second place graduate student presentations and first and second place undergraduate presentations from the judge’s selections. Prizes will be awarded.
Following dinner, we will conduct various networking icebreakers and present any internship opportunities from our various members!

If you are not provided the option to register as a Full Member for the event, even though you have recently updated your membership status via AIHA National Registration, please register as an Affiliate Member/Guest and bring proof of Full Member status to the event.
Students, please inform your instructor(s) that you will be attending the event as well.
Menu: A family style dinner along with a cash bar.
All payments will be collected at the event. Credit card and PayPal now accepted. Conversely checks can be made payable to Chicago Section AIHA, cash also accepted.
